Really a must. The start in Calci is very special. Old Italian town with narrow streets. Lovely views over Pisa and towards the sea. The road surface is super and the climb is good. About halfway it gets steeper but doable. Above at a restaurant just a cold cola, what more could you want. Definitely do this beautiful climb.... read more

Regular with a few tears but more than manageable gradients. First intermediate exposed to wind and sun but with breathtaking views.

Regular with a tear in the road a little before the halfway point but generally smooth. Airy, beautiful views over Pisa/Livorno and at least that it is not August a discreet coolness at the top where the mountain is covered by trees. Nice climb comfortably 'attached' to the Pisa plain

Of the three ascents to the summit of Monte Serra, it is the one with the most spectacular view of the valley with the Arno and Pisa. It lasts just the right amount of time, a little bit in steps, and this gives you a chance to breathe every now and then. Fun on the descent. For those who live in the area, it is a must. It is, together with the slope from Buti and the one from Compito, part of the Serra triptych, a patent I recommend everyone take.

Divertente in discesa.

Zeker doen Deze mooi klim.
