This version of the climb (from Savogna and through Cepletischis) is the worst of the three. It's the main road (so there is a lot of traffic when it's the hiking season) and it's boring. If you start form Savogna it's 15km long The last 4Km are the same for all three version and it's the steepest part, with a really boring 1km long straight ramp that never ends, all under the sun. When ascending from Savogna, for me, is better to do the other variant, the one through Stermizza, where the road is narrow, is all under trees, there is no traffic and there are many hairpins that never make you bored.
Still, this being the main road is also the best one when descending, wide roads, good asphalt, not many hairpins in the steep part.

The pass is relatively long, with almost 10 kilometres to climb. It is also very difficult because of its steep, even slopes.

Le col est relativement long avec près de 10 kilomètres d'ascension. Il est également rendu très difficile en raison de ses pentes raides et régulières.
