Nice climb, almost perfect road surface is worth the effort.

Did this climb in 2025. Unfortunately had to do it in lesser weather (drizzle rain). Nevertheless, the climb was fun to do, with some views. To get to the base of the climb, you have to cycle through Trento. This was not pleasant and is a drawback. Descended to Aldeno. To me, this side seems more fun to climb.

Om aan de voet van de klim te komen, moet je door Trente fietsen. Dit was niet prettig en is een nadeel. Afgedaald naar Aldeno. Mij lijkt deze zijde leuker om te beklimmen.
Surface in good condition the entire climb, nice climb with spectacular scenery. The decent via Garniga Terme and Covelo have some poor surface down to Garniga Terme

Very nice climb! Beautiful hairpin turns and a fine runner, you can constantly cycle around the turning point and not break down. Did the climb in May on a gravel bike with backpack and it went fine, the 20 bikers were not a big obstacle. Recommended if you're in the area.
Erg leuke klim! Prachtige haarspeldbochten en een fijne loper, je kunt constant rond het omslagpunt fietsen en niet kapot gaan. Heb de klim in Mei op een gravelfiets gedaan met rugzakje en dat ging prima, de 20 motorrijders waren geen groot hindernis. Aanrader als je in de buurt bent.
Very nice! Done on a July morning. Very exposed to the sun, not too much tree cover at least going up from Trento. Super good traffic situation, about 20 cars overtook me in an hour and 15 minutes of climbing. really quiet. excellent road conditions too. it is just a pity that the view is not spectacular. you can see Trento from above. incredibly steady climb. between 6/7/8％

Nice, steady climb with good tarmac. Lots of vegetation making the views moderate, shady on a hot day though. I descended via the south side, I personally like this side much better (south side they rode up in Giro 2023). Halfway up the climb I took a drink of water at a public fountain.
Mooie, regelmatige klim met goed asfalt. Veel begroeiing waardoor het uitzicht matig is, wel schaduwrijk op een warme dag. Ik ben afgedaald via de zuidkant, deze kant vind ik persoonlijk veel mooier (zuidkant reden ze omhoog in Giro 2023). Halverwege de klim een keer water getapt bij een openbaar fonteintje.
A tough but steady climb. There is about halfway in a village a short (300 metres or so) flat piece, further it goes up continuously except for the hairpins. When you reach the top, you can have your picture taken with Charly Gaul and relax a little further at a great view. If you take the descent to Aldeno, you can refill your water bottle(s) in Garniga Therme.
Pittige maar regelmatige klim. Er zit ongeveer op de helft in een dorpje een kort (300 meter oid) stuk vlak, verder loopt het op de haarspelden na continue omhoog. Ben je bij de top kun je even met Charly Gaul op de foto en iets verderop bij een geweldig uitzicht bijkomen. Neem je de afdaling naar Aldeno, kun je in Garniga therme goed te bidon(nen) bijvullen.
Delicious long climb. You start in Trento where it can be quite busy with cars. But after a few kilometers you drive on quiet road to the top. I would last week the Granfondo la legendaria Charly Gaul cycling where this mountain 2x in it. Because corona, the Granfondo not happen but luckily I could cycle there myself and it was very worthwhile. In total more than 20 kilometres uphill but if you have trained well it is very doable. I made a nice round trip of 107 km from Levico lake with several climbs.
Heerlijke lange klim. Je begint in Trento waar het eerst vrij druk kan zijn qua auto's. Maar na paar kilometer rij je over rustige weg naar boven. Ik zou afgelopen week de Granfondo la legendaria Charly Gaul fietsen waar deze berg 2x inzit. Vanwege corona ging de Granfondo niet door maar gelukkig kon ik er wel zelf fietsen en het was zeer de moeite waard. Wel in totaal ruim 20 kilometer omhoog fietsen maar als je goed hebt getraind is het prima te doen. Heb er zelf een mooie ronde van gemaakt van 107 km vanaf Levico meer met meerdere beklimmingen.
Nice climb: long, steep percentages, but really ideal to get into a rhythm because it is a very steady climb. In the beginning you have to ride on a motorway and you have to take the exit in time (just before the tunnel). After that it is mostly quiet (I understood that in the weekend there are a lot of motards) and wide, good roads. Really a climb for the endurance!
Mooie klim: lang, stevige percentages, maar echt ideaal om in een ritme te komen aangezien het een hele regelmatige klim is. In het begin moet je een klein stukje over en autoweg en moet je tijdig de afrit nemen (vlak voor tunnel). Daarna is het veelal rustig (ik begreep dat in het weekend er wel veel motards zijn) en brede, goede wegen. Echt een klim voor het uithoudingsvermogen!

I did this climb as the final climb of La Leggendaria Charly Gaul, at a termperatruu of 35 degrees in the valley. I was completely exhausted. But actually it is not such a difficult climb without peaks in gradient. I did not find it a particularly beautiful climb, but not to the extent that I would advise against it. If you would do it, you should definitely descend along the western side. Nice view of the Brenta dolomites, and a very fast descent with hardly any turns. Then you can return along Monte Vlo (Passo Santa Barbara from Bolognano).
Real recommendables in the region there are:

Ik heb deze klim gedaan als slotklim van La Leggendaria Charly Gaul, bij een termperatruu van 35 graden in de vallei. Helemaal kapot was ik. Maar eigenlijk is het helemaal niet zo'n lastige klim zonder uitschieters in stijgingspercentage. Ik vond het geen bijzonder mooie klim, maar niet in die mate dat ik hem zou afraden. Als je hem zou doen, moet je zeker afdalen langs de westelijke kant. Mooi zicht op de Brenta dolomieten, en een heel snelle afdaling met nauwelijks bochten. Dan kun je langs de Monte Vlo (Passo Santa Barbara vanuit bolognano) terugkeren.
Echte aanraders in de regio daar zijn:

We parked the car in Aldeno and cycled about 15km warm to the foot of the climb.

Doordat het geen doodlopende klim is en wemelt van de haarspeldbochten, kan het hier in het weekend wel eens druk zijn met motorrijders, maar over het algemeen zijn de Italiaanse Alpen minder druk dan de Franse Alpen (persoonlijke mening).
Aan de beschrijving hoef ik niet veel te te voegen. Lekker genieten, bidon bijvullen onderweg, terrasje op de top om jezelf te belonen.
Een typische Alpenklim, maar ik miste de Italiaanse grilligheid waar veel beklimmingen om bekend staan.
In de afdaling, voorbij dat uitzichtpunt, links afgeslagen de SP25 op die verder afdaalt naar mijn startplaat Aldeno.
