Superb ascent of the Bauges massif with a magnificent viewpoint as a reward at the summit. Breathtaking views of Lac du Bourget, the Bauges, Belledonne, Chartreuse, Jura and Mont Blanc in fine weather. The climb is fairly long but not too steep. It can be very busy, but remains fairly quiet out of season. The road is wide and well surfaced, with most of it exposed to the sun.

Except it is cloudy, the view on the top is worth the effort.
