The Rossignol path is rather wise and shy. The cemetery lane is terrible. I'm absolutely certain that the final percentage is much higher than the 14% advertised!
I discover the comments of the other cyclists: they seem to attest to this too.
"Trampling to keep from dying"!
Yes, it's a wall!
It's a very interesting slope. You arrive at the foot of this gigantic relay antenna, which has the luxury of being taller than the Eiffel Tower. The Mont des Cats also has a very special atmosphere, especially at the end of the day.
Found this side less attractive than the 'Berten' variant. More building towards the end and then there is then wall where everyone has the same feeling: stomping for your life....
From the main road turn right and before the house turn right again. At the top of the steepest part, you can see the television tower. The road then turns left in the direction of the abbey.
Personally I find the best way to climb the Katsberg, especially the last part via the Ruelle du Cimetière. It's a bit tricky to find this street, but once you're there it goes up very steep along the cemetery. It's only a few dozen meters long, but I've seen several friends die on it, you wouldn't expect this after the long gradual climb! Great fun!
Dolle pret!
