This is undoubtedly one of the toughest climbs in the sector, despite being short. Be careful, you quickly burn out at the bottom. There's plenty of time to look at the bottom!... read more

There's plenty of time to look at the bottom!

What a brutal climb. In the village I still turned right in good spirits.
After a friendly hello here and there to French locals, I was glad there was only a single hiker to be seen after that: as my breath was pretty much cut off. The climb is steep, and I mean really steep.
Resting at 11% is a bizarre experience. Even though the climb is not long, I had to stop for a while. After 2.5km I was completely cooked, also due to the heat.
A quick drink and something to eat and on again. It's a nice climb, though. Quiet road through the trees and occasionally with nice views of the surrounding rocky outcrops and meadows. Do you like a challenge? Then you should definitely do this climb!
