What a brutal climb. In the village I still turned right in good spirits.
After a friendly hello here and there to French locals, I was glad there was only a single hiker to be seen after that: as my breath was pretty much cut off. The climb is steep, and I mean really steep.
Resting at 11% is a bizarre experience. Even though the climb is not long, I had to stop for a while. After 2.5km I was completely cooked, also due to the heat.
A quick drink and something to eat and on again. It's a nice climb, though. Quiet road through the trees and occasionally with nice views of the surrounding rocky outcrops and meadows. Do you like a challenge? Then you should definitely do this climb!
