Hour of climbing with some steep sections. The road surface is renewed and very good. For the descent very good. The descent via Cupelin is a bit less in terms of road surface, but certainly not bad. All in all, the Bettex remains highly recommended!

Beautiful tough climb which fortunately is not too long. Village at the foot of Saint Gervais les Bains is nice and from there you can immediately start working on the steepest part of the climb. Except for a small part always steep percentages so you have to keep working until you reach the top.

I was there a few years ago during the TdF of which I have added the photos here. Nice to do if you are in the neighborhood, but you miss the entourage of the real famous alpine cols ...

Remember that a smooth cadence is always more efficient!

Le Bettex is a first-category climb: long and tough. Do not underestimate this climb. Many famous Tour de France cols fall into this category. Prepare for a long, challenging ride.
