The sign above indicates 10％ and that is certainly correct. Over a longer stretch there are steep percentages so you have to work hard to get to the top. From the top, nice view over the Dutch side of the Wurm valley. Definitely a much nicer way to get to Alt-Merkstein than via the Kirchratherstrasse.
