Steep, constant ascent, first past a transformer station, then through fields. The beginning of the housing estate can be seen as the end of the ascent.
Steiler,konstanter Anstieg zunächst an einem Umspannwerk vorbei, anschließend durch Felder. Als Ende des Anstieges kann der Anfang der Wohnbebauung gesehen werden.
The sign above indicates 10％ and that is certainly correct. Over a longer stretch there are steep percentages so you have to work hard to get to the top. From the top, nice view over the Dutch side of the Wurm valley. Definitely a much nicer way to get to Alt-Merkstein than via the Kirchratherstrasse.
Het bord boven geeft 10％ aan en dat klopt zeker wel. Over een langer stuk flinke percentages dus even lekker aanpoten om boven te komen. Van bovenaf leuk uitzicht over de Nederlandse kant van het Wurmdal. Zeker een veel leukere manier om naar Alt-Merkstein te komen dan via de Kirchratherstrasse.
