Cool climb to do. Back of the better-known climb the Bourliquet. You cycle up in two sections which makes it much easier. The road is narrow and zig-zags a bit uphill. You cycle through forest at first, then nice views though.... read more

Easier than its sister, the Bourliquet, which ends at the same place
With a respite in the middle of a very narrow road in good condition

Very nice climb in 2 parts, the first steeper part followed by a short fast descent and then the longest more even part. Rough road surface with little traffic. Nice views along the entire climb.

Little known climb, because it is situated at the edge of the Pays des collines, but it is one of the most beautiful ones. I agree with Shibster that the best place to start is Drève du Pureau. A kilometre before the climb you'll pass by a beautiful castle.

As far as I'm concerned, the Rue Tailette has one of the most beautiful views of the region on the right. Personally, I prefer the somewhat quieter variant of entering Les Bruyères via the Drève du Pureau. This is just a bit quieter.
