Zwaarder dan het oog doet vermoeden. Het stuk van de Rillaarsebaan tot aan de Hondsheuvel is het enige waarbij je enige vorm van visueel vermaak hebt, voor de rest van de beklimming loopt het saai eentonig rechtdoor. Net hierdoor heb je geen idee van de hoogtemeters die voor je liggen... De optische illusie van die kaarsrechte baan verhullen de stijgingspercentages, je zou nooit verwachten om stukken van 11 en 12％ tegen het lijf te lopen.
Alternatief voor de Moedermeule, maar dan schat ik de Donkerstraat hoger in.
