Eerst gaat het redelijk relaxed over asfaltwegen in de bebouwde kom omhoog. Na het passeren van de laatste huizen gaat de echte uitdaging beginnen want de weg gaat over in een keienpad - wat een soort extreme vorm van een kasseienweg is omdat de stenen rond zijn i.p.v. dat ze een platte bovenkant hebben. Wel verhard dus maar uitermate hobbelig. Op sommige plaatsen is er een betonlaag overheen gesmeerd wat dan ineens een stuk beter aanvoelt. Na de top is het wel maar een korte afdaling naar een goed asfaltweggetje.
Staat tegenover dat het weggetje mooi gelegen is en met enkele bochten naar de bosrand loopt. Mooi uitzicht naar achteren en op het laatste stukje over links. Wel een route voor droog weer want na een natte periode kan er wel modder liggen.
