Second part up Hotond after Berchemsesteenweg, this part of the climb is much more enjoyable, although still a bit too exposed to local motor traffic. Usually riders come down here considering the other side of the Hotond is more popular, being the side of the Kruisberg. This one is very similar to the other side though. Gradual but along a wide busy road. There is a view though.

'Short' but nice climb, good road surface beautiful views and nice constant percentages. Before you start this one you have always had to do another climb , it is always a spur of e.g. Nieuwe/oude kwaremont, knokteberg, karnemelkbeekstraat or the big track from Klijpe.

'Korte' maar mooie klim, goed wegdek prachtig uitzicht en mooie constante percentages. Voor je aan deze begint heb je altijd al een andere klim moeten doen , het is altijd een uitloper van bv Nieuwe/oude kwaremont, knokteberg, karnemelkbeekstraat of de grote baan vanuit Klijpe.
