A really nice climb, over a well-paved motorway, with the lovely Hotond café at the top. Stationed in an old mill, at the highest point in the Flemish Ardennes, so with great views.
Echt een hele mooie klim, over een goed geasfalteerde autoweg, met op de top het mooie Hotond café. Gestationeerd in een oude molen, op het hoogste punt van de Vlaamse Ardennen, met dus een prachtig uitzicht.

It includes a flatter section, false flat, a descent where you can take a lot of speed to overcome the "most difficult" section reasonably smoothly. You won't find many longer climbs in Flanders. It is mainly a very quiet way to cycle to the Hotond and/or a not too difficult way to cross the ridge towards Ronse.

The Hotond is a long, easy climb. The last part is busy though, At the end you have a nice view from the mill. If you want tougher climbs, you could try Fiertelmeers or Schapenberg.
