Short but wonderful climb on a beautiful winding road up. The first few meters, the asphalt is very poor but then it is fine. That's a good thing because after the first few meters (which are already uphill) it goes up even harder. So nice stomping but it is fortunately not so heavy as not to enjoy the beautiful view to the right. The road slowly decreases in steepness and after the bush it is climbing out to the BBQ hut and a (public) toilet at the top. At the top also a very nice view to the rear. Highly recommended!
Descent is possible directly to Hallembaye but that (nice) road can be dirty. Other option is to use the climbing route to descend and at the bush to the right. Then follows a beautiful route to Hautain-Saint-Siméon.
Kort maar heerlijk klimmetje over een mooi slingerend weggetje omhoog. De eerste meters is het asfalt zwaar matig maar daarna is het prima te doen. Da's maar goed ook want na de eerste meters (die al omhoog lopen) gaat het nog een stuk harder omhoog. Lekker stampen dus maar het is gelukkig niet zo zwaar om niet te genieten van het prachtige uitzicht naar rechts. De weg neem langzaam af qua steilte en na het bosje is het uitklimmen naar de BBQ-hut en een (publiek) toilet bovenaan. Bovenaan trouwens ook een zeer mooi uitzicht naar achteren. Echte aanrader!
Afdalen kan direct naar Hallembaye maar die (leuke) weg kan wel vies zijn. Ander optie is om via de klimroute af te dalen en bij het bosje naar rechts te gaan. Dan volgt een mooie route naar Hautain-Saint-Siméon.

Descent on the other side was greasy, there too be careful and stay straight.
Eerst afdalen langs grote baan, wees voorzichtig bij oversteken en schakel al in de afdaling. gaat direct steil omhoog en daar toch wat kruit verschoten door te groot verzet van de afdaling (beginnersfout zeker;-))
Afdaling aan andere kant lag er wel vettig bij, daar ook voorzichtig en recht blijven.
