Easy climb with an epic descent into Villes sur Auzon
Het klimmetje vanuit Monieux stelt weinig voor, maar eenmaal boven bij de Gorges de la Nasque is het adembenemend mooi
With its breathtaking scenery and excellent quality tarmac, the Gorges de la lesquels is one of the region's must-sees! Be careful, though, as the descent can be dangerous (there's water in the tunnels, and a badly negotiated bend can send you over the edge).

Scheduled for 10 May 2025 but half marathon so gorges closed, so did it the other way round on the way down. It was superb. The other side never stopped climbing.

Nice way to drive back towards Bedoin if you've been up the Ventoux. Relative to the surroundings, not long or steep.

The climb should have no name especially if you are still fresh. Good tarmac and nowhere above 4％

This is the short climb leading down the Nesque gorges. It is short and easy. The best way is to go down and then up the gorges. Or the other way round. In any case, it's beautiful in both directions and a must-see.

Not because of the percentages, it is nowhere steep, but just for the natural beauty you should ride Gorges de la Nesque. You come for the Mont Ventoux and this you take as a gift. What a landscape!
Niet vanwege de percentages, het is immers nergens steil te noemen, maar alleen al om de natuurschoon moet je Gorges de la Nesque rijden. Je komt voor de Mont Ventoux en deze neem je er als kadootje bij. Wat een landschap!
This climb is done for the viewpoint at the top (overview over the Gorges) and for the long descent towards Villes-sur-Auzon with many beautiful views. The climb itself is not much compared to the surroundings, but is therefore doable for non-trained cyclists. The road on the other side of the summit is better than here, but still acceptable.
Deze klim doe je voor het uitzichtspunt op de top (overzicht over de Gorges) en voor de lange bijtrapafdaling richting Villes-sur-Auzon met veel mooie uitzichten. De klim op zich stelt vergeleken met de omgeving weinig voor, maar is dus wel goed te doen voor niet-getrainde fietsers. De weg ligt er aan de andere kant van de top beter bij dan hier, maar blijft zeker acceptabel.

The descent to Villes sur Auzon is deliciously long and you arrive this way well warmed up in Bedoin.
Vanuit Sault kun je op verschillende manieren richting Bedoin als andere startplaats voor het beklimmen van de Ventoux.
Wil je relaxed rijden kies dan de route via de la Nesque. De percentages zeggen genoeg, een lekkere klim met mooie uitzichten en nergens steil. Het wegdek is op een aantal plaatsen niet strak maar wat wil je in Frankrijk. Vergeet niet dat op drukke routes het asfalt meer aandacht krijgt. voordeel voor fietsers is dus weinig verkeer.
De afdaling naar Villes sur Auzon is heerlijk lang en je komt op die manier goed opgewarmd aan in Bedoin.
