Mooie "binnendoor" klim vanuit het buitengebied van Hergenrath naar Hauset of Eynatten. Als je vanuit Hergenrath naar het zuiden rijdt hebt je links van de weg een klein meertje. Daar ga je linksaf de Hammerweg op. Op de eerste splitsing hou je rechts aan en begin je aan de klim. De eerste 500 meter loopt het op tot max. 5％. Daarna is het tot vlak voor het einde van de klim vooral vals plat. In de laatste 200 meter is het dan nog een keertje aanzetten voor het laatste steile stukje. De klim is vier sterren waard maar het wegdek is er de laatste 2-3 jaar niet beter op geworden en bevindt zich in erbarmelijke staat. Het dringende advies is dan ook om deze weg niet als afdaling in een route op te nemen.

The approach route along Die Göhl is already beautiful with a nice stream valley and waterfalls. Unfortunately the road surface is very bumpy. In the climb it is much better but it remains mediocre asphalt.
The climb itself starts quite steep (about 10％ I guess) but that is only for a short while. Then it becomes less steep but the percentage varies continuously with a steep part towards the bridge over the railway line. Then follows a descent and you drive under the second track after which you climb to the end.
The environment is very beautiful and there are many places (including the endpoint) with beautiful views.
Zeer fraaie en gevarieerde route met veelzijdig karakter. De route lijkt complex maar de groene fietsbordjes volgen is voldoende. De aanrijroute langs Die Göhl is al prachtig met een fraai beekdalletje en watervalletjes. Helaas is het wegdek hier wel bijzonder hobbelig. In de klim is het stukken beter maar het blijft matig asfalt.
De klim zelf begint direct stevig (tegen 10％ schat ik) maar dat is maar een kort stukje. Daarna wordt het minder steil maar varieert het percentage continue met verderop nog een steil stukje richting de brug over het spoor. Daarna volgt een afdaling en rij je onder het tweede spoor door waarna je klimt naar het eindpunt.
De omgeving is erg mooi en er zijn op veel plekken (waaronder het eindpunt) fraaie uitzichten.
