De vulkaan is machtig en dat merk je ook bij deze buitencategorie klim (aangezien je naar Nicolosi toe moet fietsen is het gewoon een HC). Laat de 6% je niet verraden, want het oké wegdek (voldoende, niet goed), de wind in de laatste 10km en de hitte van het asfalt doen je meer laten lijden dan je verwacht had. Het uitzicht en het maanlandschap maken het absoluut waard! Pas wel op met afdalen, want ook daar is het wegdek incl potholes verraderlijk!

Perhaps the most famous Etna climb. Road is good, wide and new. Middle section is really tough anyway with definitely sections above 9%. Along the way, breathtaking views of Catania!

Misschien wel de bekendste Etna beklimming. Weg is goed, breed en nieuw. Middenstuk is toch wel echt pittig met zeker stukken boven de 9%. Onderweg adembenemende uitzichten over Catania!

Nice climb on the southwest driveway. Great view into the lava fields. The asphalt is also new and good. Quite different on the east ascent. This is not recommended, especially downhill. Also the weather should be well observed at Etna.
