Challenging stages, very limited panorama, forest road, little traffic and in good condition. Coming down the other side ruined and dirty asphalt.
Scendendo dall'altro versante asfalto rovinato e sporco.
A tough climb just outside Bergamo. You can close the loop by descending to Castello della Moretta. The asphalt is unexpectedly good. The hairpin bend on Via Rosciano avoids the direct climb on Via Maresana for the daredevils. The toughest stretch seems to be near the RAI Way antenna. In reality, after the La Maresana restaurant, the toughest section begins, 500m never below 18%. Fortunately always in the shade. To be avoided if it has just rained in summer because of the very high humidity that makes the air unbreathable. Definitely less difficult this climb than the lesser-known one that climbs from the Castle
Useful for training, hard and sustained rips, almost always under the forest. Beautiful views. Also doable in winter.
