You can add a bit more climbing by starting lower down, SW of Uley. Gradually steepens through the nice village on a fairly quiet B road, smooth tarmac. Pretty steep for a while after the bends out of Uley. Mainly in trees, but through them you can glimpse a beautiful Cotswold valley to your right.
