The climb starts after a bridge over the Madrange stream in a fairly sharp bend. The road climbs through dense vegetation. The surface is a coarse-grained macadam which makes the climb more difficult. Higher up, in a bend, a small waterfall can be heard in the vegetation and below the road the scenery changes as you go round the bends. I climbed this hill during my holiday in June. There is a touch of the Vosges in this climb with beautiful vegetation. The calm reigns supreme and I was able to refresh myself a little thanks to the small waterfall that you come across in the middle of the climb. Quite nice for those who want to feel alone in the world.
