This version of the Col des Cyclotouriste is not the best known, yet it is not lacking in appeal, especially in terms of scenery.
From Albertville, take the D925 towards Beaufort, then after 4.5 km at the place called Les Roengers turn right towards Marolland.
Until Molliessoulaz the road overhangs the D925, a long straight line without any bend in the road, which is quite demanding in percentages often around 9 %
At Molliessoulaz we find the variant that comes from Bonnecine, the ascent continues, sometimes in the woods, sometimes in the open on an irregular slope.
Even if the average % are not high, the breaks of slope oblige to play with the derailleur.
On the whole the road condition is correct except for the last 3 kilometers where the bitumen is very degraded.
The landscapes are more varied and in my personal opinion more beautiful than on the Conflans side.
Until the Roengers crossing the traffic can be intense and then very quiet.
Have a good trip and be careful
