Climb with Éric on 17 July just after the Granier via Chambéry. A short stop at the Entremont bakery and cake shop at the foot of the pass. We found the ascent of this slope quite complicated, alternating moments of recovery with several relatively steep sections, particularly when crossing the village of Entremont Station, where there is a fresh drinking water reservoir on the left. Climb with Éric on 17 July just after the Granier via Chambéry.

We found the ascent of this slope quite complicated, alternating moments of recovery with several relatively steep sections, particularly when crossing the village of Entremont Station, where there is a fresh drinking water reservoir on the left.
At the top it's Désert, the name of the place, and you can tell because it's.... completely deserted. We looked for the sign indicating the Col for the traditional photo, but at the Auberge we were told that there was none.
The scenery is beautiful, with a view of the village of Entremont le Vieux at the start and the Chartreuse massif at the summit.
To conclude: A good little pass located away from the main road that links Chambéry to Grenoble and crosses the Chartreuse from north to south.
The Col de la Cluse should be included in a loop, Granier, Cluse, Égaux.
