It's a curious ascent, fairly short but with a very distinct "staircase" profile: you can clearly see the various steps ahead of you!
This pass was part of a very strenuous circuit in the Carrousin region that I drew up for training purposes when I was younger: first the Col du Coq on the Saint-Nazaire side, then the Cols de Coux, des Egaux, de la Cluse, du Cucheron and finally the Col du Coq again, but on the Saint-Hugues side. Only to be attempted if you're in very good condition!
