Malgré une bande cyclable on ne se sent pas particulièrement en sécurité sur la D909 qui est une route à forte circulation aux beaux jours, une version plus sympathique et plus intéressante est d'emprunter la petite route qui passe par Le Pégny, Frénay et Barbanchon et qui rejoint juste au sommet, il ne restera plus ensuite qu'à descendre vers le lac.
