I think of this climb as the "Broseley Alp". Obviously it's nowhere near as long as a true mountain climb, but the first kilometer could easily be a tree lined lower section of an Alpine climb, and it's rounded off at the top by a small hairpin just before the end of the steeper section. The base of the climb is accessed by a single lane bridge with height barriers, so taller riders might want to bear that in mind, but once you've crossed that you'll be straight into the steeper section of the hill, leaving the River Severn behind you on a smooth tarmac road with slightly undulating double figure gradients for the first KM before an easing just after the hairpin.
