Only scouting by car 3rd week of June 2025 I'd planned to cycle as far as La Saussaz but at the junction with the Col de Beaune towards La Planchette there's a small road with a not very good surface, short walls with very high percentages alternating with gentler sections. Certainly physically interesting on the way up, much less so on the way down. Note the goat farm with patous! Certainly physically interesting on the way up, much less so on the way down.
Note the goat farm with patous! At the wheel of my car, at slow speed, the biggest of them barked at me, which made it impossible for me to get through on my bike...
Apparently the road above is very steep!
I'll be content with the Col de Beaune for my last ride of the week, and another one a little higher up, the name of which escapes me.

This summer I also made an attempt. The first 7,5 km are easy to do until the junction to La Planchette, actually you do the climb to the col de Beaune of which the top lies a few hundred meters further on the D219. After that, the steep parts come fast. Until Charbutin, the road is perfect for cycling with a road bike. You can cycle further to La Saussaz but I don't recommend it.

The last 2 km finish the little energy you have left in your legs, it's cool it makes a good challenge!
