On paper 'an easier'alternative to Rue Tesny which starts at the same point and emerges on the same plateau above the Meuse valley.

Wat leuke bochten er in. Eigenlijk een typische beklimming voor de omgeving van Luik: steil, deels door bebouwing, deels door bos en niet al te best wegdek.

Mooie klim die grotendeels door het bos loopt. Zoals vele hellingen die op deze heuvelrug liggen is het zeker geen makkelijke beklimming en zijn de percentages grotendeels in de dubbele cijfers. De Bois de la Dame is een stevig klimmetje! Goed steil en als je de binnenbocht moet pakken moet je echt op de pedalen omdat je anders omvalt! De klim begint tussen de huizen en komt langzaamaan in wat minder bebouwd gebied. Het verkeer is aanwezig, maar niet zo erg als op grote doorgaande wegen. Het wegdek is in de winter vrij blubberig en ligt vol met stenen. Dat is even uitkijken als je er gaat afdalen.
Beautiful climb, but really tough. I was glad that I had not planned it at the end of my trip ... It remains quite long really steep so you have no time to recover. Absolute recommendation!
Prachtige klim, maar echt wel pittig. Ik was blij dat ik hem niet aan het eind van mijn tocht had ingepland... Het blijft behoorlijk lang echt steil zodat je nergens tijd hebt om te herstellen. Absolute aanrader!
