The climb is asphalted but ends in a gravel road. So if you don't want to break your expensive carbon wheels you have to turn around again. The road gets a little steeper in the middle.

Only do it if you like a new bike. I didn't find any of the unpaved paths at the top very attractive. The start of the climb is hard to find by the way, it looks like a driveway.

A "light"-version of the Kromhagerweg. Straight up the slope and after the climb continue as gravelroad. The Biesweg has good asphalt and leads to a model airfield. From the Rijksweg the trail quickly dives into a hollow road. Where this road ends it gets quite steep after which you enter another hollow road. After this you'll soon see a warning sign (planes) in the distance which indicates the end of the climb. Just a nice spicy and green climb.
At the airport it is flat, also the gravel road (of usually good quality) after the climb remains flat. At the junction left and a good gravel road to come out on the Hilleshagerweg.
