Very tough climb, which starts idyllically (but steeply) in Ediger-Eller on the Moselle. On the cobblestones you wind through the beautiful village, passing under a half-timbered house before the road turns into asphalt. Once you leave the village, it remains steep until the first hairpin bend. Along the way (as with many climbs in the area), Jesus' crusade is depicted.
After a few hairpins, it gets very steep again and this continues (ranging from steep to very steep) until you arrive at the holiday park and golf course at the top.
