Around Thônes, there’s a wide variety of short, very steep, and very intense climbs.

Autour de Thônes, il y a vraiment du choix en courtes montées très raides et très intenses.
Celle ci conduit au pied du massif de la Tournette.
Le tarmac est un peu rugueux, mais reste toujours très correct.
Les pourcentages sont clairement douloureux. Tout se passe entre 8 et 15%.
Pas de répit.
Il faut grimper jusqu’au bout de la route asphaltée. On ne s’arrête pas aux Chappes, on poursuit jusqu’au petit panneau « Belchamp Le Haut ».
En chemin, quelques vues sur la Tournette.
Un agréable passage en forêt.
Attention, deux rigoles d’évacuation d’eau sont piégeuses au début de la descente, qui elle, offre vraiment la possibilité de prendre de la vitesse.

Après La Blonnière, Le Sappey, Montremond, La Clossette l'an dernier et Le Mont juste avant, avec l'ascension des Chappes on aura ratissé tout ce qui se fait d'abrupte autour de Thônes.
Pas de paysages miraculeux, la Rte est en état moyen , juste il faut être prudent dans la descente.
À signaler que l'on peu continuer encore 400M par rapport au graphique Climbfinder.
