Breathtaking landscape. You are often right on the ridge and can see the Ionian Sea to the left and the Tyrrhenian Sea to the right. The sunset from here is incredibly beautiful. There are few cars here, but the road is damaged in places. On the way back, the road is often newer on the right-hand side, which is good for the descent.
Unfortunately, there was a lot of rubbish everywhere. At some rest areas, people have left dozens of disposable cutlery and rubbish bags lying around. :(
Atemberaubende Landschaft. Oft ist man direkt auf dem Bergkamm und kann links das ionische und rechts das tyrrhenische Meer sehen. Der Sonnenuntergang ist von hier unglaublich schön. Es fahren wenige Autos hier, aber die Straße hat teilweise größere Schäden. Auf dem Weg zurück ist die Straße oft auf der rechten Seite aber neuer, was gut für die Abfahrt ist.
Zuletzt lag leider überall sehr viel Müll. An manchen Rastplätze haben Leute dutzendes Einwegbesteck und Müllsäcke liegen gelassen. :(
Beautiful and tough! Definitely tiring but at the top it is spectacular! Some sections are really demanding but by not giving up you reach the summit, combined of course with the possible climbs (Villafranca, Messina, or Spartà) it becomes quite challenging, agile ratios and heart are recommended to get up there.

Alcuni tratti sono veramente impegnativi ma non mollando si raggiunge la vetta, abbinata ovviamente alle possibili salite (Villafranca, Messina, o Spartà) diventa parecchio impegnativa, si consigliano rapporti agili e cuore per arrivare su.

Per raggiungere l'imbocco della salita bisogna comunque pedalare per 9-10 km sia che si parta da Messina che da Villafranca Tirrena.
