Breathtaking scenery on the Straits on one side and the Aeolian Islands on the other. The maximum altitude is around 1130 metres above sea level and not as high as indicated. To reach the start of the climb, however, you have to cycle 9-10 km whether you start from Messina or Villafranca Tirrena. Breathtaking landscape. You are often right on the ridge and can see the Ionian Sea to the left and the Tyrrhenian Sea to the right. The sunset from here is incredibly beautiful. There are few cars here, but the road is damaged in places. On the way back, the road is often newer on the right-hand side, which is good for the descent.
Unfortunately, there was a lot of rubbish everywhere. At some rest areas, people have left dozens of disposable cutlery and rubbish bags lying around. :(

Atemberaubende Landschaft.

Beautiful and tough! Definitely tiring but at the top it is spectacular! Some sections are really demanding but by not giving up you reach the summit, combined of course with the possible climbs (Villafranca, Messina, or Spartà) it becomes quite challenging, agile ratios and heart are recommended to get up there.

Bella e dura!
