Als je vanuit Eynatten komt zie je, als je over het viaduct komt (daarvoor klimt de weg overigens al een beetje) deze rechte weg al voor je uit omhoog torenen. Niet de mooiste weg maar het is dé verbindingsweg tussen Eynatten en Aachen (anders wordt het omrijden) en je moet hoe dan ook het Aachener Wald over. Je deelt de weg met veel autoverkeer maar er wordt netjes gereden. Overigens zorgt dit er wel voor dat je de klim nét wat harder omhoog rijdt zodat je deze wel voelt ondanks het lage percentage. Op de eerste bult en de top aardig uitzicht naar achteren.
NB: Als je de weg volgt naar Aachen (vanaf de grens vrijliggend fietspad) kom je uiteindelijk (in Aachen zelf) een bord tegen dat het pad voor fietsers "Frei" is. Je mag vanaf hier dus de weg op. Vooral doen want het "fietspad" wordt vrijwel onberijdbaar, niet handig i.c.m. de hoge snelheid bij het afdalen.
