Fantastic experience and, at over 50 kilometres long, truly the most intense mountain I have ever climbed. The road is fine and from this side is not at all crowded. I normally don't suffer much above 2000 metres altitude, but here, above 2700 metres, I got really heavy. The views on this climb are truly breathtaking. Very special is that even above 2000 metres you encounter a 7-eleven. So you can actually climb quite lightly and with little supplies. But to jacket is really necessary. At ... read more

Very special is that even above 2000 metres you encounter a 7-eleven. So you can actually climb quite lightly and with little supplies. But to jacket is really necessary. At the bottom it was 25 degrees in Puli with me, but at the summit it was less than 5 degrees and it was blowing hard. If you ever have the chance to ride up the Wuling pass, pick and side and don't let this pass you by!
