The climb itself is not very special (though there is a beautiful forest and Open Air Museum to your right). But altitude metres and the approach through the forest make it worth a detour.

I drove by car here so often via the Waterberg junction and then saw that beckoning cycle path. You hardly notice that you are crossing a busy highway. In any case, this is a much nicer way to enter Arnhem from the north than via the Apeldoornseweg. And as a climb it is still a bit of a challenge.

Very nice climb, with a nice approach route through the woods. You cycle under a busy highway junction, which you hardly notice, and then the road starts to climb quite fast. Back in the forest this continues for a while, before you follow a long straight road with a more irregular climb. You can even go around it (on asphalt) but that's a tight bend.
