At the end of the built-up area of Haaren a tough piece but otherwise this climb is a reasonable runner. Beautiful surroundings (after the built-up area views to the right), the road seems to be in the middle of the Eifel, also because it is slightly winding. The bike path has perfect tarmac but is two-way traffic, although I did not encounter any oncoming traffic.
The climb seems to be over when entering Verlautenheide but the road still goes up a bit to the end.
Bij het eind van de bebouwde kom van Haaren een pittig stukje maar verder is deze klim een redelijke loper. Mooie omgeving (na de bebouwde kom uitzicht over rechts), de weg lijkt wel middenin de Eifel te liggen ook omdat deze ook nog enigszins slingert. Het fietspad heeft perfect asfalt maar is wel tweerichtingsverkeer, al ben ik zelf geen tegenligger tegengekomen.
De klim lijkt voorbij bij het binnenkomen van Verlautenheide maar de weg gaat daarna toch nog even stijgen tot het eindpunt.
