In terms of climbs, this is not really challenging but in terms of road I love this. Superb scenery, good road surface and fun up and down

Up and down climb from the junction at Vaalsbroek Castle towards Vijlen that never actually gets difficult. The summit is a little past Hoeve Doodleger. Two stars for the climb itself but the road does offer opportunities to head towards Holset, Harles, Vijlenerbos and Vijlen....
Op en neer gaande beklimming van de splitsing bij kasteel Vaalsbroek richting Vijlen die eigenlijk nooit moeilijk wordt. De top ligt een stukje voorbij Hoeve Doodleger. Twee sterren voor de klim zelf maar de weg biedt wel mogelijkheden om richting Holset, Harles, Vijlenerbos en Vijlen te gaan..

One of those climbs where you don't know if it's done or not. Rolling but never for very long felt like it was descending.
Zo een klim waarvan je niet weet of het nu gedaan is of niet. Glooiend maar nooit heel lang het gevoel dat het dalend was.
For a connecting road, a great pleasure. Want nice views? Check. Want brand-fresh asphalt (April 2024) with wide bike lanes? Check. Rolls nicely.
Voor een verbindingsweg een groot genot. Wil je mooi uitzicht? Check. Wil je kakelvers asfalt (april 2024) met brede fietsstroken? Check. Rolt lekker door.
Three climbs in a row (with descents in between) over a bicycle lane along a through road. Up to Holset, the tarmac is excellent, after that it gets a bit less. Beautiful views almost continuously along the way. It is rather a nice connecting route than a real climb. Yet too nice to skip if you are in the neighbourhood.
Drie klimmetjes achter elkaar (met daartussen daalstukjes) over een fietsstrook langs een doorgaande weg. Tot aan Holset is het asfalt uitstekend, daarna wordt het iets minder. Onderweg vrijwel continue fraaie uitzichten. Is wel eerder een mooie verbindingsroute dan een echte klim. Toch te leuk om over te slaan als je hier in de buurt bent.
