Climb tackled on 26 April 2026 after having done the Foscagno, the climb is always in the sun, from 10/10.30am it was beating and hot, no water fountains on the way. Lots of other cyclists present, little or no traffic, steep but very regular climb, don't be put off by the number of hairpin bends (at least 17), they seem a lot but they are done quickly. From the towers in just under five minutes you arrive at the first Cancano dam, then by dirt road (gravel or MTB) you can reach the second

A nice little climb close to Bormio. We did it as a prologue / warmup before a 6 day trip in the area, and it's really a good one to test the bike (if you have a rental) and the legs. It has a fair amount of tornanti, the view to the valley is really beautiful and if you push a little higher, you'll reach the lake where the picture is a must-take!
