Definitely recommended. Also, take this route instead of the others, as you will ride the first 10km on a cycle path and a quiet D-road in fine condition right through the forest. Then you join the main road towards the l'Iseran. Much busier in terms of traffic, but slowly the views get nicer. You leave this week to meander quite steeply up to Tignes after a bit of flat. At the top, you are treated to stunning views over the reservoir. Then it's another 4.5km to the lake of Tignes itself. A, even in summer, busy ski village. Good place for a short break.
