Short climb from Montzen Gare over a bumpy tarmac road towards the railway yard. Most of the ascent is in the first part as you leave the built-up area. At the houses following the open part it flattens out until the summit at Gites kes Dome d'Alfred. With the subsequent descent/climb of Teveld and Klauw, you take advantage of a super quiet crossing from Moresnet or Plombières to Hombourg.

Surveyable climb as most of it is a straight road (a bit bumpy but doable) running up the slope. After the right-hand bend, the slope continues for a while but then it flattens out. The climb itself does not have much to offer, but the section after it is highly recommended as it is very winding, through several stream valleys and quite undulating.
