The climb itself is on lovely quiet roads but to get to the starting point you have to cycle up a busy road first after which there is a descent to the starting point of the climb. The climb starts in front of beautiful scenery and over good tarmac but after Wislez the road , besides becoming a lot flatter on average - though there are ascents and descents - gets a whole lot worse so it's a choice to pay attention to the road or to the beautiful scenery and often beautiful views. This continues until just before the end where you have to take a left turn to overcome a much firmer percentage. Then again over a lot better tarmac.
De klim zelf loopt over heerlijk rustige weggetjes maar om bij het beginpunt te komen moet je wel eerst over een drukke weg omhoog fietsen waarna er een afdaling volgt naar het beginpunt van de klim. De klim start voor een fraaie omgeving en over goed asfalt maar na Wislez wordt de weg , naast dat deze gemiddeld een stuk vlakker wordt - al zijn er wel stijgingen en afdalingen - een heel stuk slechter dus het is een keuze maken om op de weg te letten of op de mooie omgeving en vaak fraaie uitzichten. Dit loopt door tot vlak voor het eind waar je linksaf nog even een stuk steviger percentage moet overwinnen. Dan wel weer over een stuk beter asfalt.
