Whew, what a tough climb! The rue du Limoges is leaden at the start of the climb with percentages close to 20 per cent and asphalt with gritty sections. Leaving the built-up area behind, you have a great view of the Ourthe valley on the left, but you'd better keep your eyes on the tarmac as several water gutters will disturb your climbing cadence and, with a bit of bad luck, your balance too. Leaving the built-up area behind, you have a great view of the Ourthe valley on the left, but you'd better keep your eyes on the tarmac as several water gutters will disturb your climbing cadence and, with a bit of bad luck, your balance too. Once in the built-up area, the climb becomes much more bearable and you descend a bit after which you basically continue the Cote du Sart-Tilman from Tilff. This one in itself is pleasant in terms of climbing percentage, but very busy with car traffic so definitely not the prettiest part of this climb.
