This climb was in the 1999 edition of LBL.
Heavier than the Haussire I didn't find it to be. The hardest part is really up to Merckx' stele. After that the climb is still hard, but because you were able to descend in between, you recovered a bit.
Definitely not an easy ride, but it is one you must have done. I like the descent towards the Wanne better than the descent you would have if you turned around at Merckx's stele.

Zwaarder dan de Haussire vond ik hem niet. Het moeilijkste stuk is echt tot de stele van Merckx. Daarna krijg je het nog wel een keer flink voor de kiezen, maar omdat je tussendoor hebt kunnen afdalen ben je ook iets hersteld.
Absoluut geen makkie, wel eentje die je gedaan moet hebben. De afdaling richting de Wanne vind ik prettiger dan de afdaling die je zou hebben als je omdraait bij de stele van Merckx.
A tough climb you definitely must have done. The first part is very difficult, you almost stand still there. I would definitely recommend this climb if you are in the Ardennes.
Een zware beklimming die je zeker moet gedaan hebben. Het eerste stuk is zeer lastig, je staat er bijna stil. Ik zou deze beklimming zeker aanraden als je in de ardennen bent.
Very tough climb this one is really steep although k think there are tougher ones due to the length in the Ardennes but the steepness hits very hard
Zeer zware beklimming deze is echt stijl al vind k dat er lastigere zijn door de lengte in de Ardennen maar de stijltegraad slaagt wel heel hard toe
This hill, which has recently appeared, is really extraordinary! Much harder than the original Stockeu, it almost makes up for the col de Haussire which is the hardest in Belgium (321pts/345pts). I really recommend it to all the people who have the opportunity to do it and who like to do complicated climbs!
Personally I did it rather slowly...
Cette côte apparue sous peu, est vraiment extraordinaire ! Bien plus dure que le Stockeu original, elle rattrape presque le col de Haussire qui est la plus dure de Belgique (321pts/345pts). Je la conseille vraiment à toutes les personnes qui ont l'occasion de la faire et qui aime bien faire des côtes compliquées !
Personnellement je l'ai faite plutôt lentement...
