In Mheer, if you descend from the church towards Noorbeek, the Stallestraat is the 2nd road on the right. At the last houses in the street, it goes up considerably for a short stretch. The last few hundred metres are false flat. At the end you can go straight ahead at the junction via Stadshaag/Altenbroek down to 's-Gravenvoeren. If you turn left you have "boaven de Wesch" choice to descend again to Mheer or Noorbeek.
Als je in Mheer vanaf de kerk afdaalt richting Noorbeek is de Stallestraat de 2e weg rechts. Bij de laatste huizen in de straat gaat het voor een kort stukje flink omhoog. De laatste paar honderd meter is vals plat. Aan het einde kan je op de kruising rechtdoor via Stadshaag/Altenbroek afdalen naar 's-Gravenvoeren. Ga je linksaf dan heb je "boaven de Wesch" keuze om weer af te dalen naar Mheer of Noorbeek.
Nicer - and above all quieter - than the Noorbekerweg. You climb leisurely between the houses (including some half-timbered houses) but after the bend to the right you suddenly see and feel the road going up a lot more steeply. After that, the road quickly levels off and the cycling continues in an agricultural area with sometimes nice views. At the end, you can go straight down into the Voer-region or turn left and cycle back to the main road after which a nice descent towards Noorbeek follows.
Leuker - en vooral rustiger - dan de Noorbekerweg. Je klimt relaxed tussen de huizen (waaronder ook enkele vakwerkhuizen) omhoog maar na de bocht naar rechts zie en voel je ineens de weg een stuk pittiger stijgen. Daarna vlakt het snel af en is het uitfietsen in agrarisch gebied met soms aardige uitzichten. Op het eind kan je rechtdoor afdalen de Voerstreek in of linksaf weer naar de hoofdweg fietsen waarna een mooie afdaling richting Noorbeek volgt.
Climb is not so special. Start is nice between the houses, with the steepest part just before you leave the village. Outside the village the road keeps rising slightly, but this is not so exciting. With a lot of headwind you can have bad luck on this open plain.
Klimmetje is niet zo speciaal. Begin is mooi tussen de huizen door, met het steilste stuk net voordat je het dorp uitrijdt. Buiten het dorp blijft de weg licht omhoog lopen, maar dit is niet zo spannend. Met veel tegenwind kun je op deze open vlakte wel pech hebben.
Nicer climb than the noorbeekerweg. Very little traffic and you cycle up between the typical half-timbered houses. At the top of the climb there is a view over the Voer-region. Via Altenbroek you can descend, or you can turn left towards Banholt or Noorbeek.
Leukere beklimming dan over de noorbeekerweg. Zeer weinig verkeer en je fietst tussen de typische vakwerkhuizen omhoog. Bovenaan de beklimming uitzicht over de voerstreek. Via Altenbroek kun je die daarheen afdalen, of je kan links afslaan richting Banholt of Noorbeek.
