Challenging climb but virtually traffic-free. There is a fountain shortly after the Saxel exit for refilling water bottles. Take a lock if you want to leave your bike in the monastery car park and walk the last few metres to the Signal; it's worth a look!

Montée exigeante mais quasiment sans trafic. Il y a une fontaine peu après la sortie de Saxel pour recharger les bidons. Prévoyez un antivol pour laisser le vélo au parking du monastère et faire à pied les derniers mètres jusqu'au Signal; le coup d'oeil vaut la peine !

Everyone just takes de Saxel col but if you want to punish your legs go up to the monastery/signal des Voirons, it’s surprisingly painful with a 14% piece in it and unfriendly all the way - however very few cars! The lake views from the descend are the best in les Voirons
