I was out on the MTB when I came out on this climb 2.5 km from the start, at the 'kink' in the profile. Fine climb and nice views indeed. As I was with the MTB I descended via a gravel path past the monastery with the beautiful name Monastère de l'Assunta Gloriosa. Very cool, met some other MTBers and a gravel biker who were just climbing the path. If you also want to do this descent (NOT by road bike of course) take the gravel path that starts in the first hairpin bend from the summit on your way down via the regular descent. You'll eventually end up on the coastal road RT10 from where it's another 4-5 km to Solenzara.
Ik was met de MTB op pad toen ik uitkwam op deze klim op 2.5 km vanaf de start, bij het 'knikje' in het profiel. Fijne klim en mooi uitzicht inderdaad. Omdat ik met de MTB was ben ik afgedaald via een gravelpad langs het klooster met de prachtige naam Monastère de l'Assunta Gloriosa. Heel tof, kwam enkele andere MTBers en een gravellbiker tegen die juist het pad beklommen. Wil je ook deze afdaling doen (NIET met de racefiets uiteraard) neem dan het gravelpad dat start in de eerste haarspeldbocht vanaf de top op je weg naar beneden via de gewone afdaling. Je komt uiteindelijk uit op de kustweg RT10 vanwaar het nog 4-5 km naar Solenzara is.
