This is the start of a longer climb that only ends at 1,300 metres in Aubrac. This first section is wide, rather boring, and due to the 7-8 % constant ascent, quite steep. It doesn't look like you are climbing, but in the meantime you are climbing steeply. After this climb, the road rises less steeply, but still adds 400 (!) altitude metres. However, the scenery becomes very beautiful, with nice views.
Dit is het begin van een langere klim die pas op 1300 meter hoogte in Aubrac eindigt. Dit eerste deel is breed, nogal saai, en door de stijging van 7-8 % constant, wel fors. Het lijkt niet dat je klimt, maar ondertussen stijg je fors. Na deze klim stijgt de weg minder steil, maar komen er nog wel 400 (!) hoogtemeters bij. Het landschap wordt echter erg mooi, met mooie vergezichten.
