Montée de transition classiquement empruntée pour s'enfoncer dans les Chambarrans, soit en venant d'Izeaux, ou en provenance du col de Parménie. L'ascension commence véritablement au hameau du Chambard et permet de grimper rapidement vers St Paul d'Izeaux, avec de belles courbes traversant prés et vergers. A St Paul, possibilité de prendre de l'eau à la fontaine sur la jolie place du village. La montée continue assez irrégulièrement jusqu'au hameau de Girin, dans un paysage de friches et de sous-bois, typique du massif.
A short, pleasant climb that fits in well with a longer outing, for example from the Col de Parménie to the Col Lachard. Beautiful wooded scenery, especially on the way back down to La Forteresse, and a lovely atmosphere at sunset when I passed through.
Petite montée sympa qui ne constitue pas un objectif en soi mais s'intègre bien dans une sortie plus longue, par exemple pour relier le col de Parménie au col Lachard. De beaux paysages vallonnés et verdoyants, et une très belle ambiance au coucher du soleil quand j'y suis passé.
